Definition of Noun | Noun की परिभाषा
Noun is a word that names something’s such as a person, Animal, thing, place, idea or emotions etc.
संज्ञा एक शब्द है जो किसी व्यक्ति, जानवर, वस्तु, स्थान, विचार या भाव आदि का नाम होता है
NOUN = नाम
यदि आप Noun को सरल शब्दों में समझाना चाहते हैं तब NOUN को नाम की तरह समझे जैसे City तथा Delhi दोनों ही Noun के उदाहरण हैं क्योंकि दोनों शहर के नाम को बताता है लेकिन City कोई भी शहर हो सकता है इसलिए “City” Common Noun तथा “Delhi” Proper Noun के उदाहरण हैं

संज्ञा के मुख्य प्रकार
The Noun is mainly divided into 5 parts
संज्ञा को मुख्य रूप से 5 भागों में बांटा गया है
1. Proper Noun
2. Common Noun
3. Collective Noun
4. Material Noun
5. Abstract Noun
Proper Noun (व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा) – Proper Noun is a name that identifies a particular person, place or things etc..
ऐसा Noun जिससे किसी विशेष व्यक्ति, स्थान या वस्तु आदि का बोध होता है
Ex – Sameer, Seema, Bilaspur, India, Tajmahal, january, Sunday, Holi etc.
Examples of Proper Noun –
Let me introduce to Sameer.
The capital of India is New Delhi.
I was born in January.
Common Noun – Common Noun is a Noun that refers to person, place or things etc. in general.
ऐसा Noun जिससे किसी विशेष व्यक्ति, स्थान या वस्तु आदि का बोध नहीं होता है
Ex – boy, girl, village, city, country, phone, man, woman, teacher, student, pen etc.
Examples of Common Noun –
A boy is looking for you?
I live in city.

Collective Noun (समूह्वाचक संज्ञा) – Collective Noun is a Noun that refers to group of person, place. It can be singular or plural.
ऐसा Noun जिससे व्यक्ति, स्थान या वस्तु के समूह का बोध होता है यह एकवचन या बहुवचन हो सकता है
Ex – family (families) , crowd, class (classes), team (teams), bunch, committee, people, crew etc.
Example of Collective Noun –
His family lives in different cities.
It’s class time.
Our team is good.
A meeting of people in a hall.
Material Noun (पदार्थवाचक संज्ञा) – Material Noun is a Names of Material or by which any substance or thing can be formed. Material noun are uncountable and found in concrete,Liquid, Semi Liquid or Solid form.
ऐसा Noun जिससे किसी द्रव्य या पदार्थ का बोध होता है तथा जिससे मिलकर कोई पदार्थ या वस्तु बन सकती हो, यह uncountable होता है (यह द्रव्य, अर्ध द्रव्य या ठोस अवस्था में पाए जाते हैं)
Ex – water, Milk, silver gold, iron, wood etc.
Example of Material Noun –
From Animal – milk, silk etc.
From Nature – water, silver, gold, iron, copper etc.
From Plants – cotton, oil, wood, coffee, tea etc.
Human Made – cement, brick, butter, ghee, cheese, cloth etc.
I drink milk everyday.
Ring is made of gold.
Abstract Noun (भाववाचक संज्ञा) – Abstract Noun is a noun which refers to ideas, qualities, feelings and conditions and things that cannot be seen and touched.
ऐसा Noun जिससे किसी विचार, गुण, भाव, तथा स्थिति का बोध होता है
Ex – courage, happiness, danger, truth, honesty, Wisdom, beauty, kindness etc.
Examples of Abstract Noun –
Sometimes it takes courage to tell truth.
Honesty is the best thing.
